As the client manufactures tools from a variety of materials, the rising demand for ultra-hard cutting tools—such as those made of PCD, MCD, and CBN—meant that their existing TG580 grinding-wheel-based CNC tool grinder could no longer meet their evolving needs. Consequently, they contacted us to purchase a laser CNC tool grinder specifically designed for processing these ultra-hard materials.

Based on an analysis of the customer’s machining drawings, the primary machining diameters are under 160mm (and less than 200mm), and the material is ultra-hard PCD (polycrystalline diamond)—primarily for milling cutters.
