The slotting machine is a linear motion machine tool that uses the vertical reciprocating motion of the slotting tool to insert keyways and holes. It is mostly used for processing inner hole keyways or spline holes in single piece or small batch production. It can also process flat, square holes or polygonal holes, etc. It is especially used for processing inner hole keyways with blocked holes or obstacle shoulders.
