How to align the center height of a CNC lathe?

The method for the center height of the CNC lathe is as follows:

(1) Turn the end face first;

(2) Generally, there are two situations where the spindle is higher than the tool and the spindle is lower than the tool;

If the end face is turned, the center residue is a cone-shaped residue, indicating that the spindle is lower than the tool (the first picture). At this time, measure the size of the cone bottom circle, and its radius is the height h of the tool above the spindle;

If the end face is turned, the center residue is a columnar residue, indicating that the spindle is higher than the tool (the second picture). At this time, measure the diameter of the cylinder, and the radius is the height h of the tool lower than the spindle;

(3) Make corresponding adjustments according to the two situations.
