According to the customer’s copper core processing requirements and batch production, Shanghai ANTISHICNC Company recommends using the H32i flat CNC lathe for processing. The processing steps are as follows:
1.CNC lathe tool selection
Since the copper core is soft in texture, high-speed steel or carbide tools can be used. Ordinary outer circle turning tools and inner hole turning tools can be used for turning outer circles, inner holes, etc.; cutting tools can be used for cutting; if threads need to be processed, a suitable thread turning tool should be selected. The cutting edge angle is generally 0°-10°, and the cutting edge arc radius is 0.2mm-0.8mm.
2.CNC lathe processing parameter setting
Cutting speed 1: Usually when turning copper core, the cutting speed is 100-300m/min; if it is a copper alloy with higher hardness, the cutting speed can be appropriately reduced.
Feed speed 1: The feed speed is generally 0.05-0.2mm/r. In fine turning, in order to obtain better surface quality, the feed speed can be selected as a smaller value.
Cutting depth 1: During rough machining, the cutting depth can be selected in the range of 0.5-1mm; during fine machining, the cutting depth is generally 0.1-0.3mm.
3.Write a processing program for a CNC lathe
Determine the processing route: Determine the tool movement trajectory according to the shape of the copper core and the process requirements. Including the tool’s starting position, entry path, cutting path, and cut-out path.
Write program code: Convert the processing route and processing parameters into CNC program code according to the programming language used by the CNC lathe. The H32i flat CNC lathe can be configured with GSK, FANUC system, SIEMENS system, and supports multiple languages, such as English, Spanish, Russian, French, Portuguese, etc.
