B5032 Vertical slotting machine: Solves the machining of irregularly shaped internal grooves

Blind keyways, double keyways in large gear rings, turbine lock slots, crescent slots in small valve sleeves, and small-batch internal splines are widely used in energy equipment, mining and heavy industry, marine transmission, and hydraulic valve body components. The machining of these workpieces presents significant challenges: blind holes lack retraction space, causing interference with milling cutters; the length of the cutter shank is limited for large-diameter, deep-cavity milling cutters; custom broaches for small-batch parts are expensive; and ordinary machining equipment cannot achieve the forming of inverted irregular grooves in internal cavities. The ANTISHICNC B5032 vertical slotting machine, with its high-rigidity bed, reciprocating ram cutting mechanism, and three-axis feed rotary table, can complete the slotting of blind keyways, internal splines, irregular lock slots, and crescent slots in a single setup, stably enabling the production of single-piece and small-batch complex internal cavity parts.

Recently, a Hungarian precision transmission component manufacturer contacted the Shanghai ANTISHICNC team. The client needed to machine the blind hole double keyway of a wind turbine gear ring and the crescent groove inside a hydraulic valve sleeve. The maximum weight of the workpiece was 500kg, and the requirements for groove perpendicularity, symmetry, and surface roughness were stringent. Considering the workpiece dimensions, the difficulties in machining the internal cavity, and the need for small-batch production, our engineers recommended the B5032 vertical slotting machine as the optimal machining solution.

The ANTISHICNC B5032 features an integral cast bed with stress-relief treatment over aging; a smooth-running ram drive mechanism with an automatic return tool retraction mechanism to protect cutting tools; and a worktable with longitudinal, transverse, and rotary feeds, enabling the machining of equally divided and symmetrical slots after clamping. It provides ample cutting force and strong impact resistance against cast steel and forging blanks with oxide scale, eliminating the need for expensive custom broaches. It is perfectly suited for blind hole workpieces without retraction grooves and for small-batch internal spline machining scenarios.
