
Recently, Shanghai ANTS received a customization request for a two-column vertical lathe from a client in the UAE. The client primarily processes heavy-duty rotary parts, specifically targeting large-diameter, high-load-bearing workpieces. They specified the following core boundary conditions: table diameter 1800-2000mm, maximum cutting diameter 2000-2200mm, cutting height 1200-1400mm, maximum table load capacity 8 tons, maximum table speed 120r/min; power supply 380V 3 50Hz. The client also considered equipment from the EU, Taiwan, Japan, and mainland China, seeking a model that balances performance and economy, and requested a compatible model, a complete technical parameter table, and the best commercial quote.
Based on the client’s processing conditions and budget, we selected a single-column vertical lathe as the optimal economic model, fully covering all of the client’s key specifications. This machine features a 1800mm diameter worktable, a maximum cutting diameter of 2000mm for the vertical tool post, a maximum workpiece machining height of 1250mm, and a maximum workpiece load of 8000kg, perfectly matching customer machining dimensions and load requirements. The worktable speed range is 3.2-100r/min, capable of handling rough and finish turning of most heavy workpieces. Power supply is compatible with the 380V 3 50Hz Middle Eastern industrial power grid standard.
