1. Use the forming grinding wheel to grind the punch, that is, to dress the grinding wheel into an inverse surface that completely matches the profile of the workpiece, and then use the grinding wheel to grind the workpiece to obtain the desired shape. (1) Dressing the grinding wheel with diamond

When using diamond to dress the grinding wheel, most of them dress the geometric shape of the forming surface in sections, but some dress the grinding wheel into a shape. This method of dressing the grinding wheel is mainly accomplished through various grinding wheel tools. The grinding wheel repair tools in production mainly include angle repairing, arc grinding wheel repairing tools, universal grinding wheel repairing tools, and mold repairing grinding wheel tools.

(2) Use the roller to squeeze the grinding wheel

The profile size of the extruded roller is the same as the profile size of the part, and there are straight grooves with unequal distances in the radial direction around the wheel. Its groove mainly acts as a cutting edge and can accommodate the extruded sand particles. The material and the center line of the extruding wheel form an oblique angle of 10o ~ 15o, and the iron sheet is embedded in 1 ~ 2 straight grooves. After the extrusion finishing, the iron sheet is also processed and formed. This iron sheet can be used to check the grinding profile and Forming wheels or reverse rollers. The diameter of the roller is generally Φ50~60mm.

The extrusion grinding wheel tool is mainly composed of two thimbles. The needle is driven by an electric motor through a pulley or gear. When the roller theory is gradually pressed against the grinding wheel, under the action of the pressure, the grinding wheel finally obtains the desired shape.

When the extrusion grinding wheel tool is in use, it is installed on the magnetic table of the surface grinder. During installation, the axis of the roller must be parallel to the axis of the grinding wheel.

In addition, in order to refurbish the grinding wheel, two tools, the extrusion wheel and the diamond dressing grinding wheel, can be installed on the ordinary surface grinder at the same time. At this time, the diamond knife can be copied with a template instead of a fixture. According to the model, the grinding wheel refurbished with a diamond knife can grind the parts. The diamond knife interacts with the root tracker, and can be installed and rotated at the same angle at the same time, even if the position of the curve is not easy to repair, it can also make a satisfactory profile.

2. Grinding with fixture

When grinding the workpiece, the workpiece can be clamped on a special fixture according to certain conditions. During the machining process, the position can be fixed or constantly changed for grinding to obtain the desired shape. Commonly used grinding clamps include: precision flat jaws, sinusoidal magnetic force table, sinusoidal indexing fixture, universal fixture, rotating magnetic force table and center hole splint, etc. This grinding method is generally carried out on a surface grinder.

In production, in order to ensure the quality and efficiency of grinding, the method of comprehensive use of forming grinding wheel and fixture is generally adopted, which can greatly reduce the cost of parts manufacturing.

3. Conversion of the size of the forming grinding process

When forming grinding, the operator needs to convert the design size of the pattern into the technological size of forming grinding. The reason is that the size of the process equipment parts is generally marked according to the design basis, and the construction basis and the design basis selected in the form grinding are often inconsistent.
