Main structure:

The radial drilling machine is mainly composed of a base, an inner column, an outer column, a radial arm, a headstock and a workbench.

The inner column is fixed at one end of the base, and an outer column is set on the outside of it. The outer column can be rotated 360 degrees around the inner column.One end of the radial arm is a sleeve, which is set on the outer column to move up and down.Since the screw rod is connected to the outer column, and the lifting nut is fixed to the radial arm, the radial arm cannot rotate around the outer column, but can only rotate around the inner column together with the outer column.

The headstock is a composite component, which consists of the main transmission motor, the spindle and the spindle transmission mechanism, the feed and variable speed mechanism, and the operating mechanism of the machine tool.The headstock is mounted on the horizontal guide rail of the radial arm, and can be operated by a handwheel to move it along the radial arm on the horizontal guide rail.

When machining, the headstock is fastened to the radial rail by a special tightening device, the outer column is fastened to the inner column, and the radial arm is fastened to the outer column, and then drilling is carried out.During drilling, the drill bit performs rotating cutting while performing longitudinal feeding. The form of movement is:

(3) The auxiliary movements are: the radial arm moves vertically along the outer column, the headstock moves along the length direction of the radial arm, and the radial arm and the outer column rotate around the inner column together.

Operating procedures

1.Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the drilling machine and work card quantity used before work, and only work when it is confirmed that it is correct.

2.It is strictly forbidden to wear gloves to operate, and girls’ tresses should be pulled in their hats.

3.The clamping of the workpiece must be firm and reliable.When drilling small pieces, apply tools to clamp them, and do not hold the drill by hand.

4.When using automatic tool walking, select the feed speed and adjust the stroke limit block.When manually feeding, it is generally carried out in accordance with the principles of gradual pressurization and gradual decompression to avoid accidents caused by excessive force.

5.When adjusting the speed, stroke, clamping tools and workpieces of the drilling machine, and when wiping the machine tool, stop and proceed.

6.When there are long iron shavings around the drill bit, stop and remove them.It is forbidden to blow with the wind or pull by hand, and to remove it with a brush or iron hook.

7.When reaming deep holes, take out the circlip and pin rod, and do not use too much force to avoid hitting the tool with your hand.

8.It is not allowed to flip, clamp or measure the workpiece under the rotating tool.Hands are not allowed to touch the rotating tool.

9.When using a radial drill, no obstacles are allowed within the rotation range of the wishbone.Before working, the wishbone must be clamped tightly.

10.Objects are not allowed to be stored on the wishbones and workbench, and the processed parts must be clamped tightly in accordance with regulations to prevent the displacement of the workpieces from causing major personal injury accidents and equipment accidents.

11.At the end of the work, lower the wishbone to the lowest position, the headstock is close to the column, and all must be clamped tightly.
