What to do if the surface grinder leaks oil

Oil leakage of surface grinders is the most troublesome problem for many users, but only need to master the cause of oil leakage of surface grinders and the judgment method, and propose improvement measures for it, and the effect will be better after use. The oil leakage of general surface grinder is caused by the following primary problems:

1. The dust-proof sheet metal at both ends of the workbench leaks oil. Generally, the surface grinder is not carefully assembled. The screws that fix the dust-proof sheet metal penetrate both ends of the guide rail, and the oil leaks out directly from the guide rail. The solution is to wrap the surface grinder screws with raw tape and make dense glue. Go in again.

2. The oil volume adjustment is too large. After opening the oil tank cover, adjust the oil valve switch with a flat-blade screwdriver. Clockwise is to decrease, and vice versa. Generally, the oil volume is controlled by locking clockwise and then turning to adjust. Just loose 1/4. The oil groove on the wear plate of the guide rail surface grinder is not opened well, opened too shallow or not opened in place, and the oil cannot go and overflows from the side. It should be opened again; the oil hole is blocked, and the oil flows to the guide rail. The oil hole is generally blocked. The oil is too sticky or dirty. Replace the oil type or clean up the oil passage. If it is an old surface grinder, the guide rail is usually too dirty and the oil passage is blocked. Just clean up and change the oil.

3. The front and rear screws are leaking oil. If the new surface grinder is leaking, it is usually because the front and rear elastic sheaths of the screw are not installed, the two screws are not tightened or the sealant is not well laid. If it is an old surface grinder, the screw must be replaced. Sheath, sealant again.
